5/24 @9am *sigh* This is way tougher than I thought it would be. Here is a more animated process of what I’m attempting. First I show the actual character I’m trying to learn. I then draw a rough guide over her, then I do a black rough trace. So every day or so I try to draw something as close to the trace as possible without actually tracing. I have the character shot beside me and, only using the green skeleton guide, try and match the proportions again. Once complete, I compare to the black trace, and usually moan at how crappy it came out. xD So far the last one is the closest, particularly the eyes almost match perfectly but I can’t quite tell why the eye on the right side seems to be off. The top of the hair/skull seems to be my biggest difficulty, and usually the nose/mouth are off the side.

We’re up to the point where we are totally in sync. Sometimes I don’t even need to finish what I’m saying for her to know what I’m thinking. Good job sis. She weeps, because she knows it’s true. 1/29 @1am Saw some beautiful concept art from Endling and had an idea thanks to his really rough sketching. So I squiggled some lines randomly with my LEFT hand. Then sketched something out of it in blue, and finally inked it in. I think I’ll be doing more of these exercises from now on.
